The director of the cryptocurrency exchange Kuna Exchange believes that technically Ukraine could have created a cryptocurrency three years ago
Ukraine has been delaying the launch of Cryptogrivna for the third year already. Semyon Kaploushenko, the head of the Kuna Exchange cryptocurrency exchange, expressed this opinion at the FinUpDate webinar: is there life after deposits. He stated that Ukraine could create its own national crypto-grivna back in 2017.
“From a technical point of view, Ukraine could have created a cryptogrivna three years ago. However, unfortunately, due to various circumstances and fears, this has not yet been done, although it is literally two weeks to launch this [cryptogrivn], ”- Kaploushenko.

According to the CEO of Kuna Exchange, the only thing that is needed to launch the national digital hryvnia is a signal from the National Bank of Ukraine.
“We still have a chance in principle to shoot this [crypto-maneuver] and be one of the first,” he added.
The Ukrainian authorities announced their intention to launch a national cryptocurrency (e-hryvnia) back in 2016. In the course of work on the crypto-drive, the regulators presented a roadmap for the development of the project. However, the document has been changed several times, including time shifts for the direct launch of the currency. Despite a number of changes, the financial regulator still tested the e-hryvnia in the period from 2018 to 2019.

As the adviser to the head of the Association of Ukrainian Banks Oleksiy Kushcha explained, they intend to keep the cryptogrivnu in bank accounts, and the blockchain technology will ensure the security of funds and the legality of operations.
It is noteworthy that e-hryvnia is not the only digital hryvnia project. At the end of February 2020, the Kuna Exchange officially launched beta testing of the UAX Token (UAX) digital hryvnia. In mid-March 2020, a presentation of the project was planned at the largest conference in Ukraine BlockchainUa, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the presentation was postponed indefinitely.
In Russia, they also decided to keep up with global trends, initiating public consultations on the issue of the digital ruble, at the same time limiting annual investments for non-accredited investors to the amount of up to 600 thousand rubles..
